Spring 2014 - Southgate's Science Enrichment Day

Our chapter was pleased to present during Southgate Elementary school's annual Science Enrichment Day; a day dedicated to the sciences. Southgate Elementary School is a magnet school in Colonie, New York, that enhances early childhood education within every key field.

Several chapter members travelled to local high school to do various activities with students, and teach them how interesting and enjoyable computer science can be.

"Founded in 1937, Siena College is a private, Catholic Franciscan, residential, liberal arts college with a student body of about 3,000. Siena College offers 30 degree programs, 52 minors and certificate programs, and professional curricula in teacher preparation/education, pre-medical, pre-law and social work. The college is organized into three colleges Liberal Arts, Business and Science. A broad perspective and career preparation is emphasized through internships, study abroad programs and student activities."
